Vitamin C Zooki Liposomal
When ePharmaCY introduced me to Yourzooki Vitamin C, I was not expecting much; just another vitamin C supplement. It actually feels good on occasion to be wrong and genuinely be surprised by a product.
Liposomal: The Science
I had not heard of liposomal before and how liposomal vitamins don’t use capsules or tablets or powders to deliver nutrients. Instead, the vitamins are encapsulated in pockets of fat cells called liposomes (hence the name) and science suggests that this is the most effective way of ensuring the vitamins in the supplement actually get absorbed into your body.
Vitamin C Supplementation
Vitamin C supplements are amongst the most commonly used supplement in the world. The majority of Vitamin C products are effervescent products. While these products generally contain 1g of Vitamin C, the body only absorbs about 7-8% of the total amount. This means that for every gram of Vitamin C that is ingested, only 70-80mg is absorbed, and plasma Vitamin C levels stay relatively low.
