I am asked a lot about eyelash curlers – do we really need to use an eyelash curler? Are eyelash curlers damaging? Why eyelash curlers are the best? In my opinion, eyelash curlers make a huge difference to our eyes instantly. An eyelash curler changes everything; it lifts the lashes and makes the eyes look bigger and more awake. However, it is important to remember that not all eyelash curlers are created equally and it is important to choose the right curler for your eye shape.

How to Use an Eyelash Curler

I clean my eyelash curler with alcohol and let it dry thoroughly to stop bacteria build up and cause eye-havoc. When using them on clients, I clean them this way after every client. On myself, I do it once a week.
For extreme curl, start at the root and continue to curl upwards towards the tips of the lashes for the perfect lift.
Give outer lashes some extra lift, I like to pull the lash curler out and up a little bit, turning my wrist and the curler.
Apply mascara to keep the lashes lifted. If you notice the curl falling after your mascara has fully dried, you can carefully, gently clamp the curler on your coated lashes: just be careful, as mascara will stick to the tool.
With daily use, replace curler pad after three months and curler after one year.
