Tom Ford Noir Pour Femme EDP where have you been for the last 6 years; how did I not know you existed?! I say 6 years as it was launched in 2015 and only came across it recently at Paphos airport waiting for my flight to the UK. I don’t know where you were hiding but I am glad we finally met!
For as long as I can remember, I link a fragrance with a destination; to name a few, Bottega Veneta Knot EDP transports me to Lugano, CHANEL COCO NOIR represents Cyprus and takes me back to my wedding day, and Le Parfum Elie Saab symbolises Greece.
I didn’t have a scent for the UK, it was my home, and I went through hundreds of perfumes while living there for 34 years. I like to be smelt before I am seen (laughing to myself). Perfume is an extension of our skincare/makeup routine, it reflects our personality, and we should choose a scent carefully that represents who we are.

Tom Ford Noir Pour Femme is now my UK scent. It is an Amber Floral fragrance for women.
Base notes are vanilla, amber, sandalwood, & mastic tree.
Middle notes are kulfi, rose, orange blossom, & jasmine.
Top notes are ginger, bitter orange, mandarin, and bergamot.
The nose behind this fragrance is Sonia Constant. Sonia is Co-Founder of Ella K Parfums and Senior Perfumer at Givaudan. She is credited with 164 fragrances spread over many brands including Moonlight Patchouli from Van Cleef & Arpels which is an exquisite fragrance, and another firm favourite of mine.
My Opinion
As the image and video of Lara Stone suggests this perfume is light and yet complex; light and yet intense, and light and yet jet black. If you cannot tell from my writing, I am in -love with Noir Pour Femme. The image that Tom Ford uses and the aura of mystique in the styling bring to mind one of the most beautiful French actresses of all time, Brigitte Bardot.
This perfume is alluring, intense, and distinctive. I never want to be without it and this perfume now has a permanent place in my fragrance wardrobe!
