High Street Perfumes to Buy & Others Not to Buy
I have been obsessed with perfumes and scents most of my life. I cannot leave the house without spraying perfume.
I went back to the high street recently after having my second baby because it is easier to get hold of rather than going to exquisite boutiques.
Here is what I have tried and my recommendations of high street perfumes to buy, and others not to buy.
Calvin Klein Euphoria EDP
This is an amber floral. I love this perfume but it doesn’t last on my skin. I would buy it again but it is one that you have to keep with you and top up during the day.
Lancome La Vie Est Belle Iris Absolu EDP
Floral, fruity, gourmand. This perfume I can only describe this as pleasant but I would never buy it again. I expected more depth.
Narciso Rodriguez For Her
Floral, Moody, Musk. This reminds me of my student days, and is always a good purchase but I do reach for it a lot less these days.
Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Intense EDP
Amber floral with vanilla at the base. I love it and have repurchased it many times. I just wish it lasted a little longer on my skin.
Jean Paul Gautier La Belle EDP
This is an amber vanilla fragrance. I have repurchased many times but I need a bigger bottle in order to be able to respray during the day. I love the mix of vanilla, vetiver, amber, and musk. It has top notes of pear and bergamot. It is an addictive perfume for sure!
