Danessa Myricks Groundwork Defining Neutrals
I am a big fan of Danessa Myricks are her products. Having used her products for a good few years at least, they stand the test of time and more importantly for me, they are weather-proof. Living in an extremely hot country, I need products for myself and my clients to last for hours on the skin without them breaking down. Whenever there is a new launch from Danessa Myricks, I already know it will be good and the new Danessa Myricks Groundwork Defining Neutrals is very good!
I have not had the opportunity to interview Danessa Myricks (yet!) but from what I see and read, she understands that formulation is everything and she understands that we want our makeup to last on the skin without it looking or feeling heavy or thick on the skin. If you are still on the search for an excellent serum foundation, then try Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Serum Foundation.
Danessa Myricks understands textures and formulations. In the new Groundwork Defining Neutrals palette, she gives us 10 colours in a velvet touch pomade and matching colour setting powder which she calls Velvet Pomades and Shape N’Fix Powders.
This talc-free palette can be used for eyes, brows, face and lips and applied with a brush or with fingers. The palette is matte and is perfect for autumn winter, but equally, can be used as a base for other products if shimmer and sparkle is more your thing.
I can see this palette as being a staple in my makeup kit and if you love a smokey eye, you can create one in super quick time. For one-person use, just on the eyes, this will last you up to 2 years because you don’t need to use a lot to create fab looks. To use as a regular face makeup product, or as part of a professional makeup kit, it won’t last as long for sure, so I hope it is always in stock.!
I am testing this palette at the moment, and I created a sultry, yet soft, smokey eye in super quick time.. For me, Danessa Myricks’ products stand for high performance in super quick time, which makes this new palette even more exciting for me.
Price wise, I consider this palette as reasonable. It is a professional palette priced at € 83.50 or £68.00.
