I am always on a mission to find the perfect fragrance and it is normally inspired by hormones and my latest addiction. At the moment, I am going through an intense rose phase. Scents have a great power over our emotions; a real sensory experience. For most, a smell is not just a fragrance, it is a memory!
Our sense of smell or the olfactory system which is its official name is part of the sensory system used for smelling. For those interested, I will write an article very soon on the science behind fragrances and it really is a science!
In the dull and depressing month of January, I wanted to find a fragrance which inspired my mind to believe that spring is on its way. This is what inspired me to buy Coach the Fragrance and it is what it represents to me.
This perfume was released in 2016 and is said to represent the spontaneous energy of New York City and its cool vibe. I have not been to New York yet however it is on my wish list. What I love about it is that it is fresh, playful but with a sophisticated base.
The base notes are suede, musk, sandalwood and cashmeran; all four representing a distinctive and long lasting base.
The middle notes are cyclamen, gardenia and Turkish rose. The base notes along with the middle notes give this fragrance its floriental element.
The Top notes of pear, pink pepper and raspberry leaf gives this fragrance its fruity element. It is well documented that citrus and fruit in perfume is a great pick me up; helps boost energy and alertness.
I would say that it is a medium intensity fragrance and moderate to long lasting; more suited for day wear. It is a feminine fragrance that says I work and play just as hard.
